Will a reset actually turn off my airbag warning light?
Yes. After a collision, the airbag control module locks a crash-data code that keeps the SRS light on and stops the system re-arming. We clear that data and reset the module to its factory state, so once it's refitted the warning light goes out and the system reads as ready.
Which makes and models do you cover?
Effectively all of them. We handle airbag modules for every major manufacturer — Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Mahindra, Ford, Holden, BMW and more — plus specialist BMW FRM3 footwell repairs. If your vehicle has an SRS light, send us the part number and we'll confirm.
How long does it take?
Most modules are reset, tested and back in the post within about 24 hours of reaching our Campbellfield workshop. Total time depends mainly on shipping to and from you, which is why we recommend a tracked service both ways.
Do I need to reprogram or code the module afterwards?
In the vast majority of cases, no. We return your original module restored to factory defaults, so it's plug-and-play — refit it and you're done. If a particular vehicle needs anything extra, we'll tell you before you ship.
How do I send my module in?
Message us first for a quote, then wrap the module in bubble wrap or foam, place it in a sturdy box with your name, phone, email and return address inside, and post it to SRS RESET, 8/1730 Sydney Rd, Campbellfield VIC 3061. Use a tracked and insured service for peace of mind.
Is it cheaper than buying a new module?
Almost always — significantly. A dealer replacement can run into the many hundreds or thousands of dollars once you add coding. Resetting your existing, matched unit avoids all of that and keeps your original hardware in the car.
How much does an airbag module reset cost?
Airbag & SRS module resets start from $150. A few modules have to be opened so we can read and rewrite the data directly from the processor — those are a little more. Either way, we give you a fixed price up front before you send anything, so there are no surprises.
